Welcome to Peterson House

Providing a Place to Gather & Be Formed by Our Sacred Biblical Text

About

Peterson House

Peterson House is a gathering place where the doors are open for friends to come together in hospitality to read the Bible alongside people from different Christian traditions, honoring the lens of one another, benefiting from a shared reading, and giving way to the text speaking for itself. Our hope is that in the rhythm we give to how we read the text, a thoughtful and deliberate one, the Holy Spirit will help us experience the depth of the text in new ways that naturally flow into how we are present to one another. We hope that Peterson House can provide a space and program where many methods are used to have a greater appreciation for this amazing text we call the Bible.

“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.”

- John 1:14

Our Inspiration

Peterson House is named in memoriam to Eugene and Jan Peterson, who both had a strong passion for God’s word and how it transforms lives and the world in which we live. Though our space is not their home on Flathead Lake, Montana, we pray we can create and sustain a similar space that evokes the warmth of Christ’s presence and invitation to all.

How can I support Peterson House?

As a registered 501(c)3 legal nonprofit under the umbrella ministry, “Uncovered Word Ministries,” we rely on the generosity of donors and partners like you to make this vision for biblical reflection and Christian community a reality. Thank you for the ways you support Peterson House and how we are creating space for conversation and reflection rooted in God’s Word made flesh!
